Having kids is great but I’ve come to find that they aren’t exactly the most responsible when it comes to their things, especially electronic gadgets. I don’t know what it is but it seems they’re just not exactly responsible, or maybe it’s just that they don’t care, and I hope that’s not the issue, but I think it is. Anyway, having kids and getting them electronic gadgets means you need to have cases for them to protect them and I’ve found that Deal Extreme is a great place to find inexpensive accessories for pretty much everything. Today for review I have the Crystal Protective Case for NDS Lite, and it’s exactly what it sounds like, a clear case for the Nintendo DS Lite. The price is only $3.32 and it even comes with free shipping. I guess you might not expect much for something so little, but it’s not bad at all. It really is worth it, it looks good, and it protects the DS Lite while still showing it all since it’s clear after all. I like clear cases because I don’t like to cover up the device I’ve bought, I like to see them. Anyway, read on to learn about a great and inexpensive case for the Nintendo DS Lite….

The Review::
The box for the Crystal Protective Case is just plain, not much special about it at all.
The case comes wrapped in plastic for protection and that’s about it.
The case is in two pieces, a top and a bottom. It’s clear so there’s not exactly much to see really.
The top of the case does have the Nintendo DS Lite logo.
The case has cut-outs in all the right places for the buttons, and ports.
The case is hard plastic, this isn’t a bad thing as most cases are these days. It does feel nicely made and it’s not flawed as one might expect and inexpensive case to be.
Installation is easy, the case just snaps on and the top snaps to the bottom and is hinged.
All of the cut-outs are nice and large, they’re made oversize so they don’t get in the way of the ports, slots, switches and buttons.
The crystal case doesn’t come around on the front or playable side of the DS, but it comes right up the edges. The case is thin and very lightweight so it doesn’t add any bulk or weight to the DS, which is great.
Since the case is thin, it does fit into another case. I believe in full protection, so one case just isn’t enough especially when it comes to things that my kids use.
Conclusion:
For what it is this case is great I think. It’s priced very low, at only $3.32 and shipping is even free!
Yes Deal Extreme free shipping does take a while but if you’re not in a hurry then it’s not a big deal
The crystal case is clear and you can see the NDS and all its details.
All of the ports are open and easy to access.
The case just snaps on and off easily, and it’s thin so you can put it into another case if you need to.
