INTEL i7-5960X “Haswell-E” HEDT Processor Review @ HardwareBBQ

The eight-core flagship piece of meat called the i7-5960X has a base clock of 3.0GHz armed with 40 PCIe 3.0 lanes with the MSRP of $1059 at the time of launch. The base model SKU for the Haswell E- the i7-5820K- is a six-core processor with DDR4 233MHz support. But it has a reduction of PCIe 3.0 lanes of 28. i7-5930K is a 6 core processor, with a base clock of 3.5GHz. The TDP is 140W with a box price of $594 at the time of launch. This and the 5960X have 40x PCIe 3.0 lanes.
