Hmm.. award winning and looks good…

Groundbreaking wireless speaker company Libratone has been named 2014 International Forum (iF) Design Award winner for the Loop in the product design category. This award marks the second year in a row that a wireless speaker in the Libratone family has been recognized by the  iF awards for outstanding design. Last year Libratone’s Zipp, a portable wireless speaker was the winner of the award in Germany.
Launched in the fall of 2013, the versatile Libratone Loop features a duo stand and elegant wall-mount, making placement in the home incredibly easy and flexible. The slim, stylish and wall-mountable speaker impressed the iF jury, which consists of experts and designers from all over the world. The iF Product Design Award was introduced in 1954 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. Every year the iF attracts more than 2,000 product entries from nearly 40 countries around the world.
“To be recognized by such a prestigious organization for the second consecutive year is truly an honor,” said Libratone CEO Gregg Stein. “The award is in line with our mission to offer a line of speakers that not only delivers great sound quality but also unique and distinctive Scandinavian design aesthetics.”
By combining great audio engineering with a design that blends with modern home décor, Libratone speakers  separate themselves from the traditional sound systems  which saturate  the market today. Libratone speakers are functional and beautiful without compromising audiophile standards.
Libratone will attend the iF design awards night on February 28th in Munich. For the first time all award-winning entries will be presented in the new free iF design app coming out at the end of February. Libratone’s award-winning Loop will also be included in the iF yearbook published in April 2014.
The Loop will also be showcased at Exhibition Unit 1 from March 1st to June 9th at the new and permanent iF flagship exhibition in Hamburg’s HafenCity.
The Loop is available at Apple retail stores and online at www.libratone.com for $499.95. Dressed in Libratone’s characteristic Italian wool, the Loop comes in Pepper Black, Salty Grey and Raspberry Red. Additional covers are sold separately; colors include Pineapple Yellow, Passion Pink, Plum Purple, Petrol Blue and Icy Blue.
