New iOS game…

SEGA® of America, Inc., in a partnership with Double Fine Productions, today announced that The Cave, the spelunking puzzle adventure created by legendary game designer Ron Gilbert, is now live on the App Store. Available for the iPhone®, iPad and iPod® touch, the game is priced at $4.99.

Named Game Informer’s Best Adventure Game of E3 2012, The Cave is an adventure game from Monkey Islandand Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behindPsychonauts and Brütal Legend. Players can assemble their team of three from seven unlikely adventures, each with their own unique personalities and stories, and then descend into the mysterious depths of The Cave. New touch screen controls enhance the experience on iOS.

“We always planned to release The Cave on touch screen devices, and we worked hard to ensure the game controls felt responsive and intuitive,” said Ron Gilbert. “We were also able to retain the graphical fidelity of the console version so players can now get the full subterranean adventure experience in a portable format.”

The Cave is an original experience that brings something fresh and quirky to the world of iOS gaming,” said Chris Olson, Vice President of Digital at SEGA. “Ron and the Double Fine team dug deep to create a mobile adventure that delivers everything players love about the game.”
