So I’ve got another review of a case for the HTC One, yes I’ve got a lot of them, and this one an oddly named one, it’s actually called the HTC One Shine Aluminum Cover, which to me just sounds weird, but hey, whatever. It’s a case and that’s all we need to know I guess right? The case is thin with a red aluminum back and a soft inner lining. The price is under $15, and overall it’s not a bad case, it covers the back and sides and leaves the top and bottom fully open. So read on…

The Review::
The case comes just packaged in a plastic bag, nothing special but it doesn’t need to be really right?
The case is clear, the silver color inside of it is actually the back of the back aluminum part of the case.
Basically the entire back of the case is aluminum, it’s red in color, but it’s more of an orangish red I think.
The back is textured for grip, sort of lines going through it.
There is a of course a cut-out for the camera and flash and then one for the rear microphone.
So then here’s my HTC One and the case side-by-side for you:
Getting the case on the HTC One is easy, it just snaps right on, no problems at all.
The cut-out for the camera on the back is nice and large, and won’t interfere with you using it. The case should protect your HTC One from shocks, bumps, dust and scratches.
There is a nice large cut-out on the right side for the volume controls.
The top is fully open for access to the power button and the audio port. The power button is also an infrared port and the case will not block it so you can use it.
The bottom of the case is fully open as well allowing full access to the microUSB port and the microphone.
The case does come up over the edges of the phone slightly to protect it, if you lie the phone face down the screen won’t actually touch the surface it’s on.
Conclusion:
Objectively this isn’t a bad case overall, it offers good protection I guess but there is no screen protector included.
The case protects the back and sides of the HTC One and is fully open on the top and bottom for full access.
It’s one of many budget HTC One cases on the market and in that area it’s not bad for the price.
Personally I just don’t like the case, I don’t like the looks and feel of it really, it’s just me, there’s just something about it I don’t really care for.
