GameStop Now Taking Pre-Orders for PlayStation 4

Ok so this is cool and all but too bad none of the options are just for the PS4… they’re all bundles that are priced much higher than the $399 price tag of the PS4…  Oh well, won’t be shopping at GameStop for my PS4 that’s for sure..


GameStop the world’s largest multichannel retailer of video games, is now taking pre-orders for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.’s next generation computer entertainment system, the PS4™, the company has announced from Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the biggest show in the gaming industry.

The PS4 console redefines rich gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, intelligent personalization, deeply integrated social capabilities and innovative second-screen features. Combined with PlayStation Network cloud technology, the PS4 offers an expansive gaming ecosystem that is centered on gamers, enabling them to play when, where and how they want.

Pre-orders for the PS4 can be made at any U.S. GameStop store location or online at with a $100 deposit that will be applied toward the $399.99 cost of the console.*

GameStop customers can also pre-order the first games available on the new system, including these titles exclusive to the PS4: Killzone: Shadowfall, Infamous: Second Son, Knack, Drive Club and The Order: 1886, all published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Activision’s Skylanders: SWAP Force, EA’s Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals and Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag can also be pre-ordered starting immediately.
