Lots of iOS news today..
GREE today announced the release of Knights & Dragons: Rise of the Dark Prince, an all-new free-to-play game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Knights & Dragons takes players on a medieval adventure to a fantastical kingdom, a once-peaceful place that has been overrun by the evil Dark Prince and his army. The game was developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based developer IUGO Mobile Entertainment Inc., and is available for free on the App Store.
In Knights & Dragons, players are invited to save their beloved kingdom and return justice to the state by battling treacherous monsters that are wreaking havoc across the land. Players can select the most advantageous armor for battle based on the monster’s elemental attributes – fire, water, spirit, air and earth – and recruit the best knights from friends’ kingdoms, offering control over battle outcomes and an exciting level of strategy. As knights emerge victorious, they will unlock additional heroes to join their court and collect valuable materials to craft new armor. Knights can further prove their valor by combining and enhancing armory to weld stronger sets and build an ultimate coat of arms. Knights & Dragons features a deep storyline with fun adventure role-playing elements, including exploring magical lands, engaging in hundreds of quests, building and designing a magnificent castle, and customizing characters with unique and powerful armor.
“In Knights & Dragons, we set out to develop a fun and accessible RPG experience that delivers all the social, strategic and immersive elements that mobile social gamers love,” said Eiji Araki, SVP, Social Games, GREE International, Inc. “We also wanted to bring a deeper storyline by introducing an entertaining plot, witty dialogue, playful characters and high-production art, as well as a continuous dose of new content, features and events to keep the fun fresh. We’ve worked hard to make this title more than a game, but an ongoing entertaining experience.”
Knights & Dragons offers a suite of robust social features, including battling friends in weekly player-versus-player tournaments, hiring friends’ knights to use in battle, accessing leaderboards, and viewing players’ profiles and adding them as friends. Players will also able to check their in-game achievements and send game invites to other users.
