This game looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. The graphics looks really good, even though it’s only a side scroller, which isn’t a bad thing.

Other Ocean Interactive’s love letter to both the bygone era of cinematic platformers (Prince of Persia, Out of this World, Flashback, etc.) and the works of H.G. Wells, The War of the Worlds, is nearing release, and the developer is celebrating by launching the official website for the game! Head over to www.waroftheworldsgame.com, where you will find a host of information on the game, including screenshots, videos, and other exclusive media that you won’t find anywhere else on the internet.

The War of the Worlds takes a unique spin on the classic science fiction tale, putting players in control of Arthur Clarke, a man trapped in the midst of an alien invasion in 1950’s London. As Arthur, you’ll make your way through the assault by passing through a variety of London landmarks, avoiding alien drones and fighting for your very survival. Featuring the voice of Patrick Stewart as the narrator, The War of the Worldsis an exciting and atmospheric survival-adventure game that you will not want to miss.

Published by Paramount Digital Entertainment and developed by Other Ocean Interactive, The War of the Worlds will release on Xbox LIVE®Arcade and PlayStation®Network later this year. Check out the newly launched website at www.waroftheworldsgame.com.
