I have an iTwin and I think they’re really cool.

-(BUSINESS WIRE)–iTwin, creator of the award-winning iTwin, the world’s most secure ‘personal cloud’ USB device, today announced it will demonstrate its soon to be released Mac OS X support at gdgt live in New York, a high energy gadget showcase which kicks off the CEA’s CE Week. The event takes place June 21, 2011, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street, in downtown Manhattan.

“in essence, the (iTwin) device creates a ‘personal cloud’ around a user’s PC hard disk, with the data accessible through another PC.”

“iTwin continues to innovate and improve our flagship product for use by consumers and small businesses around the world,” said Lux Anantharaman, co-founder and CEO of iTwin. “With Mac OS X support coming out in August, iTwin users can now connect their Mac and their Windows computers, and access all their files securely and simply. The gdgt Live and CEA Line Show events are excellent opportunities for end-users, retailers, and media alike to get a sneak preview of this much-requested iTwin enhancement.”

Recent media coverage of iTwin outlines its key differentiators. A recent PC World article entitled Gadgets for cloud computing,’ quotes iTwin COO Kal Takru saying that, “in essence, the (iTwin) device creates a ‘personal cloud’ around a user’s PC hard disk, with the data accessible through another PC.” Regarding iTwin’s ease-of-use, in a May 17th online review in the Chicago Tribune, Terry Gardner writes “(iTwin) really is ‘plug and play’.”

gdgt Live is free and open to the public. Media can register for an exclusive preview hour from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at http://gdgtny-vip.eventbrite.com/.
