“The voyage of contributing to the creation of Back to the Future: The Game has been a fantastic one”
Telltale Games’ Back to the Future: The Game, developed through a licensing deal with Universal Partnerships & Licensing, continues the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown, as it reunites the film’s creators and several actors in a story-driven, episodic video game that has delighted fans since its launch last winter.
“The voyage of contributing to the creation of Back to the Future: The Game has been a fantastic one,” said original movie screenwriter, producer and video game story consultant Bob Gale. “I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Telltale Games to continue a story I helped create 25 years ago in an entirely new medium, and to do so with iconic members of the original cast.”
As revealed on Spike TV’s GameTrailers Pre E3 show, Michael J. Fox will voice two unannounced cameo roles in the finale of Telltale Games’ most successful episodic video game series, Back to the Future: The Game. An exclusive video is now available showing a behind-the-scenes look at the journey of Back to the Future: The Game as Telltale brings the key creative talent back together for this landmark event.
Adds Dan Connors, CEO for Telltale Games, “Fans have completely embraced Back to the Future: The Game and it has quickly become our most successful game to date. Because the series finale promises to be something extraordinary, we are offering the first episode free of charge up until launch of the finale on June 23 to encourage all Back to the Future fans who haven’t yet joined in on the episodic game series to jump in and get caught up prior to June 23.”
Telltale Games is making it easier to go Back to the Future by offering the entire five episode game season for $19.99 from now until the finale’s launch on June 23. Episode one is also available free of charge to fans who pick up the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy on Blu-ray and DVD while stocks last. Fans that have yet to pick up the series can download the first free episode for PC and Mac from www.telltalegames.com. iPad owners can download the first episode free of charge via the iTunes AppStore for a limited time.
The entire season of Back to the Future: The Game is also available for the PlayStation 3 and can be purchased via the PlayStation Network at the PlayStation Store for the low price of $24.99.
