I love my PS Vita, but I haven’t found a case yet that I truly like, that is until now I think. I found one on Deal Extreme for only $6, and I thought why not check it out as I’m always on the look out for a good deal. I’ll be honest I was not expecting much at all from this case considering the price, but I like it a lot, it looks great, it’s well made and it fully protects the Vita while offering access to all ports and buttons. If you’re looking for a decent case for your Vita then check this one out and read on for the review…

The Review::
The case comes in a small box with a little bit of information on it.
Inside the box you’ll find the case wrapped in plastic for protection and that’s it, no instructions but I don’t think any are really needed.
So here’s the case, front and back. As you can see it’s black but I think there are other colors available.
The case is plastic yes, and it just snaps together, there’s a top half and a bottom half.
The case is mostly plastic but the entire top is covered with a thin piece of brushed aluminum and so are the hand grips on the bottom.
So that’s the case and then here’s my Vita with the case, getting ready to install it.
Getting the Vita in the case is very easy, you just set it in place and then snap the two halves together. It’s a perfect fit, and the case inside is plastic so it won’t harm your PS Vita.
The case allows for full access to all ports and buttons of the PS Vita
Since the PS Vita is black the case sort of blends right in with it, which is nice I think.
I did run into a couple problems with the case though, the first one being that I could no longer use my wrist strap as it’s just a bit to thick now.
The next problem was now the Vita doesn’t fit in the official PS Vita case as it won’t clip into the holes anymore because of the plastic case. Not a big deal though, I’ve ran into this with all case for the Vita.
Conclusion:
I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much with this case but I was pleasantly surprised by it. It’s well made and doesn’t feel cheap at all. The case offers full protection for your Vita while offering access to all ports and buttons.
For the price you won’t find a better case really. I can easily see this case selling for twice if not three times as much.
The case is plastic so it doesn’t really add any weight to your Vita but it does have a protective metal covering over the front and part of the back, effectively reinforcing the case and further protecting your Vita from damage.
I can highly recommend this case and I have to say it’s certainly a great value for what you get.
