Samsung’s TLC flash-based SSD 840 Evo series set a new benchmark for affordable SSDs last year, going for just $0.65 and performing almost on par with the upper echelon of SSDs. Helping to build anticipation for its successor is the SSD 850 Pro, which to this day is the fastest 2.5" SSD money can buy. Once again, the 850 Evo shares many of the same technologies found in the Pro model, however by using TLC V-NAND it is much more cost effective.
