They are some nice looking headphones…

Phiaton today announces its Bridge MS 500 Headphones have been awarded the coveted Red Dot Design Award in the ‘Consumer Electronics and Cameras’ category. These headphones emerged as a top product and were awarded for their high quality design.

The Bridge MS 500 headphones are at the heart of Phiaton’s M-Series, known for its bold styling, modern aesthetics and world class sonic performance. The Bridge Headphones feature genuine perforated Italian leather with machined aluminum and ultra-comfortable, plush earpads that make it easy to listen for hours on end while also providing noise isolation. The Bridge MS 500 Headphones also include an in-line microphone, allowing users to easily make and receive phone calls, and are foldable for convenient portability.

In the 2014 competition, international experts discussed and evaluated 4,815 entries from 53 countries. But only designs that won over the jury with quality and innovative strength won an award. Phiaton received the coveted Red Dot: Best of the Best, which is awarded for groundbreaking design and is the top prize in the Red Dot Award for Product Design, reserved for the best products in a category. The Bridge MS 500 headphones were also awarded with an iF Design Award and a Good Design Award earlier this year.

Dr. Peter Zec, Red Dot CEO and founder, on the decision process in the Red Dot Award: “The 40 experts assessed the quality of the entries with the utmost care and attention. Due to their backgrounds, they also assessed the special cultural aspects of the designs from 53 countries. But only the best products receive an award from the jury. This is especially reflected in the percentage of successful entries in the Red Dot Award, which is much smaller in contrast to other international design competitions. Therefore, the winners can be proud of their achievements – with their entries, they stood out from the rest and were able to pass the test in front of the critical eyes of the experts. This success will be perceptible during the Red Dot Gala, when the laureates will receive the recognition of the international audience.”
